Structure and management
The Janware Distributors concept has been created by David and Anne Janes who will be Directors and share holder in the limited liability company planned as the operational vehicle. It is believed that a registered company facility has benefits exceeding those of a private personal enterprise particularly as orders will have aspect of sales tax involved and a normal registered company structure is both traditional and convenient. The name Janware Distributors has been captured for use, thus registration of a company with that name is virtually assured.
David Janes has considerable experience in the dinnerware market having worked as a sales representative for the local subsidiary of Doverport Industries, one of the leading suppliers of the up market dinnerware. Having been with the company for 6 years, he is acquainted with the strength and weaknesses of the market and industry. David’s knowledge will substantially benefit the new enterprise. Anne Janes was with the same company when they first met so there is experience with the general market and she has book keeping knowledge as well as sales promotion experience with products in showrooms. The company will be managed by David Janes accompanied by Anne. One other fulltime staff member will be employed to assist with sales work in the showroom as needed and be responsible for the packing and shipping of orders.
Having established the working concept with 7 product suppliers, the main initial effort will be that assigned to David Janes, personal selling to retail outlet and developing the promotional material for advertising and introductory mailing. Anne Janes will be primarily responsible for the showroom activities while maintaining the company books. Both qualified legal and accountancy services have been invited to act on behalf of the business. The necessary procedures to formalize and register the enterprise have been started.
